1. All shooters shooting the registered course the day of the Registered Shoot shall be eligible to participate in the Lewis Class.
2. There will be three groups of shooters. The number of shooters in each group will be determined by dividing the total number of Lewis Class participants by 3. Remaining shooters will be part of the third group.
a. Example: 32 Lewis Class Shooters. Divide total number by 3, which determines 10 per group. Add the 2 leftover shooters to group 3, creating final groups of 10, 10 and 12.
3. After final scores have been verified, list shooters by score, highest to lowest. Top score in each group (groups determined as in #2) wins 1/3 of the total Lewis Class Purse.
4. In the case of a tie for first place in any group:
a. A mystery station will be chosen, and the score for that station will determine placement.
1). Example: With 30 shooters, the shooters in 10th and 11th place are tied. A mystery station is chosen. The shooter with the best score on the mystery station will be placed in 11th place, as the top shooter in group 2, and will take 1/3 of the total Lewis Class Purse.
b. If the mystery station does not break the tie, then the tied shooters with the same scores on the mystery station will each receive an equal portion of the purse for that group.
1). Example: In the above example, if the two shooters have the same overall scores and the same scores on the mystery station, then the purse (1/3 of the total Lewis Class Purse) will be divided equally between the two shooters. The same will be true if the tie is between 3 or more shooters and is not broken by the Mystery Station.
